Custom Cake Ordering, Payment & Cancellation Policy

Every celebration deserves something extraordinary. Each cake at Sugar by A. Simmone is thoughtfully designed and prepared specifically for your occasion.

To ensure a seamless experience, please review our ordering, payment, and cancellation policies before submitting your custom cake inquiry.

1. Custom Cake Inquiries & Booking

All Celebration Cakes and Celebration Boxes begin with a custom inquiry.

Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee availability or confirm an order. Following a review of your requested design, flavors, serving requirements, and event details, a personalized quote will be provided.

Your order is confirmed only after your quote has been approved, the required initial payment has been received, and Sugar by A. Simmone has accepted your booking.

All custom orders are subject to availability.

2. Payment Requirements

Orders Under $200

Custom cake orders totaling less than $200 require payment in full upon invoicing.

Orders of $200 or More

A 50% initial deposit is required upon invoicing to reserve your celebration date and begin the custom cake process.

The remaining 50% balance is due no later than 72 hours before your scheduled pickup or delivery date.

Orders must be paid in full before they are released for pickup or delivery.

Failure to complete payment by the designated deadline may result in cancellation, subject to the cancellation terms below.

3. Rush Orders

We kindly request a minimum of 14 calendar days’ notice for all custom cake orders.

Orders confirmed fewer than 14 days before the scheduled pickup or delivery date are considered rush orders and are subject to availability.

Accepted rush orders incur an additional 25% rush fee, calculated on the cake subtotal, including custom upgrades, before applicable taxes and delivery charges.

Rush fees will be included in your personalized quote and invoice.

Rush orders confirmed within 72 hours of fulfillment require payment in full upon invoicing.

Rush fees are nonrefundable once expedited preparation or production has begun, subject to applicable law.

4. Cancellation & Deposit Credit Policy

Because each custom cake requires dedicated planning, production time, and preparation, initial deposits are nonrefundable in cash except where required by law or otherwise stated below.

However, eligible deposits may be transferred toward a future custom cake order.

Cancellations With 14 or More Days’ Notice

Customers who cancel at least 14 calendar days before their scheduled pickup or delivery date are eligible to transfer 100% of their initial deposit toward a future custom cake order.

Any additional amount prepaid beyond the required deposit will be refunded, less any separately disclosed, nonrecoverable expenses already incurred.

Cancellations With Less Than 14 Days’ Notice

Cancellations made fewer than 14 days, but more than 72 hours, before fulfillment may qualify for partial deposit credit.

Eligible credit will be determined after accounting for reasonable design work completed, reserved production time, and nonrecoverable expenses associated with the order.

Any prepaid funds not required to cover applicable charges will be refunded.

Cancellations Within 72 Hours

Cancellations requested within 72 hours of the scheduled pickup or delivery date are not guaranteed deposit credit once production has begun.

Any remaining credit or refund will depend on work completed, expenses incurred, and applicable law.

Fully Prepaid Orders Under $200

For cancellation purposes, 50% of the order total is treated as the initial booking portion and follows the deposit-credit terms above. Any remaining prepaid balance will be handled according to the applicable cancellation window and costs incurred.

5. Future Cake Credits

Eligible cancellation credits may be applied toward a future custom cake order with Sugar by A. Simmone.

• Future orders are subject to availability and current pricing.
• Credits are applied to the new order total.
• Any difference in pricing is the customer’s responsibility.
• Credits are not redeemable for cash except where required by law.
• Credits will be tracked by Sugar by A. Simmone and will not carry an expiration date unless lawful terms are separately established and disclosed.

A credit does not guarantee the availability of a particular date, design, or product.

6. Rescheduling

We understand that celebration plans occasionally change.

One rescheduling request may be accommodated when submitted at least 14 calendar days before the original fulfillment date, subject to availability.

Requests made with fewer than 14 days’ notice will be reviewed individually and may involve additional charges for work completed or expenses already incurred.

Any additional charges will be communicated before changes are approved.

7. Design Changes & Adjustments

All custom cake designs are based on the details approved during the consultation process.

Requests to modify cake size, flavors, fillings, design elements, or servings may affect the final price.

Significant changes requested within 14 days of fulfillment may not be accommodated once preparation or production has begun.

Any approved changes that increase the order price will be invoiced accordingly.

8. Pickup & Delivery

Pickup and delivery arrangements will be confirmed directly with the customer.

For pickup orders, the location and scheduled pickup details will be provided the day before fulfillment.

Customers are responsible for arriving at their confirmed pickup time and for the proper handling, transportation, and storage of cakes after collection.

Delivery availability and applicable fees will be confirmed during the quoting process.

9. Cancellations by Sugar by A. Simmone

In the unlikely event that Sugar by A. Simmone is unable to fulfill an accepted order, all payments collected for that order will be refunded to the original payment method.

Customers will be contacted as promptly as possible regarding the cancellation.

This policy does not limit any rights or remedies available under applicable law.

10. Policy Acknowledgment

By approving a custom cake quote and submitting payment, customers acknowledge the Custom Cake Ordering, Payment & Cancellation Policy made available to them before payment.

All cancellations, rescheduling requests, and significant order changes must be submitted in writing.
